Claire Sharp is the newest addition to our training team! She completed her apprenticeship in 2014, and is certified through Mutt Magic. Although she is new to us, Claire is an experienced handler, with 10 years experience in the field! In the past, she has raised guide dogs and also functioned as an area coordinator in the placement of these dogs. Currently, she volunteers for a local rescue, rehabilitating large and harder to place dogs with behavioral issues. Claire currently teaches group classes in Baltimore City, and manages our group and private lessons in Montgomery County.
Jill LaPorta is an obedience instructor and CGC Evaluator. She has been a part of the Mutt Magic team since 2013. She is also an Animal Behavior College graduate! With over five years experience, she brings current and past volunteer knowledge from working with veterinarians and rescues. She also handles dogs at a local kennel, making her an excellent addition to our team. Jill currently teaches group classes and private lessons for us in Harford County, and also manages our free behavioral consults at the Harfod County Humane Society.
